Installing win7pro 64bit over win7home32bit

I have an win7home 32bit system that say's I can use a 64bit system. I want to get win7pro64bit, is it just that easy to install?
Put it in and follow directions? Will it automatically make the switch from 32bit to 64bit or do I have to prepare it before hand?
