Okay first off I am really going to try to explain the best I can without dragging it out, I can't lose you out there! You're my only hope!

The problem that has been resolved partially I am fixing to describe what has been going on atleast 2 yrs.:(
I have a Sony Vaio, 64 bit, windows 7 laptop. Pretty much as soon as I purchased it I started installing software( specifically: Microsoft Works Suit 2006 which was way too old and not at all compatible), soon after the Windows installer box pops up saying preparing to install, or asking me to put in removable media atleast 20-50 times a day, plus I cant install or unistall ANYTHING- HUGE PAIN....I actually got to the bottom of that today with YOUR help, I uninstalled Microsoft Works Suite 2006, its dang Add-In, and some Digital Image Pro.
So all this stuff is gone there is NO traces anywhere, not in the registry, no where!! I CHECKED.
I restarted the pc and unfortunately The Windows Installer dialog box flicks on the screen 2 or 3 times so quickly I can't make out what its saying, so I re-boot, installer box still pops up it's real quick and does it 3 or 4 times. As far as whether the installing and uninstalling is back to normal; I tried to uninstall 2 programs: 1 let me the other did NOT.

Are there any updates or should I uninstall and reinstall. Idk what to do but I have been trying to fix this for so long that I cannot quit until it is fixed. Anyone that could help, please, you would be helping me greatly and I would very much appreciate it.
THANKS!

Also, when I do try to uninstall something and it fails it always displays this Windows Installer message: the window installer server cannot be accessed.
This can occur if the Window Installer is not correctly installed.

SIDE THOUGHT
I got to thinking, trying the fix the installer, I went in to the command prompt and typed something by direction of someone which was suppose to be telling me how to fix it, it didn't fix it.. I just hope something like that wouldn't cause something like this to be the problem

This is the cmd prompts that were entered:
i tried sfc /scannow and it said that some of the files were corrupt and couldn't be fixed. try this it might work
