Motherboard: ASUSTeK Computer INC., M2R32-MVP
Antivirus: Microsoft Security Essentials, Disabled
Not sure why it says security Essentials is disabled as the icon is green and the open dialog box states that I am protected, but that may be another issue.
The problem is that a few days ago when I attempted to download an executable (Seagate tools) the file would not download as a .exe file but instead downloaded as xxxxxxxx_exe. I found that if I renamed the file by replacing the underscore before the exe with a dot the file would work as an application with icon change and everything. This happens with all executable files that I attempt to download, most recently your "TSG Sysinfo" did the same thing. How can I fix this? I really appreciate any feed back and help with this issue. You guys can fix anything!
Thanks in advance!!
