Windows image files

Hi Guys, it appears that my backup image file is too large to do the back up. But that is only since I recently restored the C: Drive on my computer. Prior to this I could not get a backup to work so I got a new Windows 7 disk and installed it on the C Drive. Whereupon it made partitions etc. I haven't a clue as to what it did but I would like to resolve the problem with the partitions it established and see if that doesn't help.
Should a HARD Drive have a "healthy" OEM partition and a healthy primary partition??
Disk "0" is labeled System Reserved and C Healthy? (Boot, page file, crash dump, Primary Partitoin)
Disk 1 is labeled "Healthy (OEM partition)", Local disk D is "Healthy" (Primary partition) This is a separate hard drive installed on my computer.
i DON'T BELIEVE THAT DISK 1 SHOULD HAVE THE "OEM" PARTITION? Can anyone help me and then tell me what to do next?
Thanks
