Just Curious

I only look at error logs not so much micro details about systems but this thread here http://forums.techguy.org/windows-7/...-urgently.html was closed for a pirated copy of windows just wondering how that was gathered, was it because it said OEM and if so wouldn't that say the same if HP sent a disk since xp is no longer supported?

I may have just read to quick but nothing stood out as pirated so just wondering how to spot those things.
