Insufficient permissions

Ok Im just gonna say this I HATE Homegroup and Windows Media Center. Saying that, here is the reason why. First I run homegroup a while back and it moved all my files around into several different folder locations and just messed with my mind on where to find things for a while. Well I got used to it and ignored it. But NOW I run windows Media Center to be able to hook up my files to an XBOX so I can watch things upstairs without carrying my entire computer up with me. But before I was even done setting permissions for only specific folders that I wanted shared using the media center, suddenly I can save a file anywhere on my computer, Google Chrome refuses to open, and everything is gone haywire in my settings. No matter what I do I am not seen as the Admin anymore on my own computer and I am the Only User. Ugh... I keep getting the error Name "Explorer.EXE" And the Error as follows "This Item reffered to by this shortcut cannot be accessed. You may not have the appropriate permissions." For when I try to open Google Chrome even from its actual exe file. I was also getting the error that I did not have permission to save a file to Desktop and asking if I wanted to try my pictures folder I say yes and then get the same error again when trying to save to the folder it showed. I have sence got in and changed the permissions for my user in those folders to be able to have full control of those locations again but I am sure there are other folders now with the same problem. Please help fix the problem Windows Media Center has Caused and Homegroup has Caused. I just want to have access to my own computer without being told to contact my Admin (MYSELF)
