Deleting 'searched for' words

Hi,

Hope you can help.

How do I remove all the words I have used to search for on the internet? Whenever I go to particular websites and begin to type into a search field, all past 'searched for words' appear.

I have tried numerous ways to delete these but they always appear, what settings do I need to activate? I am using Chrome and have tried CCleaner and Internet Options in an attempt to remove these.
