As usual, I am a step (or 3) behind -- still fooling with w7 while v8 is becoming dominant...
My question: The "photo and fax" viewer in xp had features that are not present in the w7 version of that tool, so I was wondering -- is there is a (cheap-2-free) viewer available for w7x64 that I could use? The main feature I miss is the more nuanced magnification mode that adds sliders top and side so the whole image can be enlarged and fully viewed. The w7 viewer simply has a slider that magnifies from center-outward, but does not allow viewing the whole image when enlarged.
Obviously, this is not a huge problem or emergency -- and I do have other, more sophisticated image tools, but I sometimes just want to scan through sequential pix without modifying / editing them. And it seems odd to me that the newer OS version would have a less versatile native image tool than good ol' XP.
Thanx for any and all suggestions. Again, I am not looking for high-end image editing tools, just something closer to the capacities of the XP tool.
