Need a second opinion.
HP SFF Desktop
Windows 7 Pro 64bit
Received a support call, the user said all the icons on the screen were gone. The system was on a domain, had SEP \ Office \ and some other programs installed.
I looked at the system and found there was only a single local user and none of the other seven domain users. It was no longer on the domain and all local files were gone. I looked through the system logs and found that a few days earlier sysprep had run. (The user told me she was prompted to enter a user name)
I also found a very old version of MSE installed as well, which was never part of the system as far as I can tell.
SMART logs on the HDD indicate a large number of sector re-locations, but otherwise passes testing. (I think the drive having problems might have triggered this)
Any other ideas?
