windows explorer have stopped working/ restarting

i'm using Acer aspire E1 531 laptop and every time i open my laptop a message comes up, 'windows explorer is restarting' or 'windows explorer has stopped working' then only the task bar is visible and when i click on it the screen turns black and only the cursor is visible. it only stops after restarting the laptop about 3 to 5 times
