I have set up a small network in my office - the computers included all use the same Workgroup Name = WORKGROUP. We use a combination of Vista and Windows 7 operating systems. I just set up the newest Windows 7 Professional pc and I am getting the following error when trying to access:
\\FISCHER-PC is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.
Logon Failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer.
I am setup on all PC's as an Administrator. I have confirmed that the Workgroup Name matches. I can see the PC when I "view devices on the network". I can't seem to even gain access to the computer to see if I can access the folders I've shared.
I followed the same procedures with a PC running Windows 7 and have had no issue getting access to the computer.
Help!
