I am a new member, and I am at my wit's end. I bought my desktop about 4 or so years ago, (Bought the parts, my friend assembled it.) And ever since I have been having problems with freezes and BSOD. I have reinstalled my OS and wiped my harddrive probably at least 10 times. I have defragged my hard drive, changed out hardware, done everything I could think of, but to no avail.
It is also funny how it works. Its as if it goes through random fits of crashing 10 times a day. It could be fine for weeks with not a single BSOD or Freeze, and then boom! The week from hell comes, and It freezes 10 times a day for like a week or two straight.
Other times, it just randomly stops. Sometimes when I am Running Games, some times when I am doing absolutely nothing. But mainly when my computer is working on something. Such as Gaming, Watching Videos, or Installing stuff.
I have run memtest for 20 passes, and It said my memory was fine. Zero Errors.
I keep my drivers up to date, and run regular defrags and Virus Scans.
BSOD's I frequently get are 'Page_Fault_In_Non_Paged_Area', 'Driver_IRQL_Not Equal' (Or something like that), Or sometimes it BSODs and doesn't tell me anything, or the computer just freezes. Today I got one I never gotten before, while I was running some PC Clean-up programs, something like 'Memory_Allocation'.
As for pc hardware, this is what I am packing.
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit
CPU: Intel Core i3 540
RAM: 8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 665MHz (9-9-9-24)
MoBo: EVGA EVGA P55 SLI E655
GPU: 1280MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti (EVGA)
HD: 932GB Seagate ST31000333AS ATA Device (SATA)
Drive: HP DVD Writer 1260d ATA Device
Please, This has been plaguing me for years, Every computer savvy person I know is entirely stumped by my issues.
I need some Closure. :(
