I guess I have a permissions malfunction.
I had to reinstall Win 7 when I did a major upgrade to my system yesterday. Now I can't open PDF files with Adobe Reader 10 or 11 or Foxit. I get errors with all.
At this moment I have Foxit 6.1.4.2017 installed and the only way I can open a PDF is run "Take Ownership" on each file I want to open. Then it will open with no problems.
When I tried the Adobe Readers I did go into the preferences and change the security settings that may have been goofing things up but it didn't help.
The error with the Adobe Readers is "The document could not be opened. It may already be opened or in use by another application"
With Foxit it the error is "The document could not be opened. It may already be opened or in use by another application." or "You don't have permission to open this file. Contact the file owner or an administrator to obtain permission"
