Programs do not remember my login details

I use programs for my bank and credit card information, and have set them up to remember my login details (other than my passwords which I obviously have to input when I want to get updated information). However, every now and then, when I open these programs, all the login information has disappeared and I have to put it in again manually. It's not a big job, but I wondered why the relevant information disappears every so often. Can anyone please suggest what I can do to rectify this? Thanks.
