Having operating systems Windows XP Professional, Vista Ultimate, and 7 Ultimate.
Having same problem with all three operating systems.
Nature of the problem.
While working menus,system freezes, message in the upper left hand corner, "Not Responding".
Having done some research on this subject. Believe the following is possible.In order of least likely to most likely.
1. Registry error. Where to get registry fix patch?
2. Troublesome shell extension. Use "ShellExView" software.
3. Troublesome rootkit. "GMER" rootkit scanner.
4. ASUS motherboard incompatibility. Where to get correcting driver?
5. Rogue driver incompatibility. Where to get software to identify and remove troublesome driver?
6. Explorer.exe file just plain worn out. How to replace old file with a new file.
