real player takes over

RealPlayer has taken over my desk top:eek: every Icon is in Real Player some won't even open anymore the only thing that comes up is a real player log in help please go step by step as I don't know a great deal of the lingo
I have windows 7 Thanks to all who can help LadyB;)
