Hey there, i'm not sure if this is the correct forum so i apologize in advance if it is.
This problem started about a year ago, and it's been a rather difficult one to find on the net.
The problem:
When clicking on certain items on the taskbar (especially the "folder" shortcut and the Google chrome shortcut) it pops up a small window with all open windows by the application as intended.
However, i am not able to click the windows that pop up. The only way for me to navigate between windows is by using Alt+Tab all the time which is frankly really annoying.
The cause:
I have yet to observe an actual trigger for this problem.
It works properly for some time after rebooting/restarting explorer, but will eventually start causing this problem.
Workaround:
A decent workaround i am using is dropping the explorer process and restarting it.
While this works, the problem will reoccur within 1-2 hours just like rebooting the PC.
A bunch of windows close by sinking explorer, which is extremely annoying for me since i use alot of folder tabbs.
Extra info:
When dragging the mouse over windows opened after clicking on the taskbar, they do not light up as clickable items when this error is going on.
Windows 7 64Bit Home premium.
I update drivers regulary so i doubt that's the problem.
Any help is appreciated,
If you need any more info i'm happy to oblige.
Thank in advance
