Hi guys,
I am trying to fix my wifes laptop. First thing I noticed was that the Windows Firewall was turned off and it will not turn on.
There are a few other issues, such as not being able to pin anything to the task bar or the start menu, a runtime issue which pops up as soon as the laptop starts up, I cannot perform a backup and some dll issues as well I believe.
I'm hoping a repair install is not required, as I have lost my copy of Windows Office Home Pro 2010. I also have a unique error with the Windows Product Key. On the sticker on the bottom of the laptop, the last 10 characters have been worn off.
I downloaded a KeyFinder program which gave me the product key for the laptop, but the first 10 characters were completely different to what is on the sticker.
The Laptop is a Sony Vaio running Windows 7 Sp1.
I can still access the internet with it.
