So, my cousin obtained a new laptop and installed all the windows updates. After the installation though, all of the programs he had on his computer were somehow switched to xp compatibility mode. No idea how, no idea why, (though according to him, while downloading, he installed an application which would allow him to use a ps3 controller on his comp)
All we want to know is if there is an easy way to set all the programs back to normal, or do we need to go to every .exe and remove compatibility manually. (he installed a large amount of programs prior to the whole update issue, and is worried that there may be issues further on)
Thank you for any assistance.
Edit: All newly installed programs also have compatibility mode applied
Edit 2: OS: Windows 7 Home 64 bit
