I shut my computer down today to give it a rare rest, closing all windows first. When I turned it on again, only one of the two Chrome profile icons I use showed up in the taskbar. Can anyone provide instructions for restoring the icon and associated profile? I would be grateful.
Beyond that, I wonder what the icon and profile's disappearance mean for the hardiness of my Dell Inspiron laptop, which is about three years old and which runs Windows 7. I am hard on it, leaving it on most of the time and keeping dozens of tabs open on both Chrome profiles (I'm a researcher). Is my laptop telling me it is dying?
