I recently upgraded a friend's computer from Windows Vista to Windows 7 (both Home Premium). He was using Windows Mail in Vista and we need to at least recover the files to import to Thunderbird or preferably, get Windows Mail working again.
I have followed all of the online tutorials to try and re-establish the Windows Mail, but the attributes still show as HSA (Hidden / System / Archived) and the attrib command will not work to change them.
Any help on how to get Windows Mail to work again or at least be able to convert the Mail Files / Folders to work with another program would be very helpful.
Thanks in advance.;)
