Security Update Failed

Hi, all!

I'm running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, and I'm just trying to get a failed security update installed.

a few days ago through Windows Update did a routine download and install of of the monthly updates and patches. I got a message after the download and install procedure that one update had failed with the following message:

Security Update for Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package (KB2538243)
Installation date: ‎6/‎12/‎2014 2:49 AM
Installation status: Failed
Error details: Code 643
Update type: Important

At this point I can't seem to find the download link. Plenty of links to info I don't understand but I can't find where to manually download the failed update to try to re-install.

By going to Windows Update and clicking "view update history" it shows the failed update in the list.

Should I try to manually download and reinstall this update? If I can find where to download I'm assuming I should download the x64 version, correct?

This should be simple to correct but I'm not having any luck.
