Firstly apologies if this is answered elsewhere (if it is, pls direct me to the post). A friend of mine has a Acer Aspire One (about 6 years old). It's running Windows 7 Pro. He's in a condo & connects to the wifi there. After a while (time varies), the wifi drops. Whilst the wifi is up & running clicking on the network icon in the system tray shows all available connections. As soon as the wifi drops, hovering/clicking on the icon does nothing. Going into Network Connections & disabling the Wifi there (in order to subsequently re-enable it) does nothing. I.e. you can select/click 'Disable' but it doesn't. Nothing short of a reboot solves the issue - until the next time which may occur in 5 minutes or 2 hours (who knows). I've looked on the Acer website (to see if there is a driver to download) but I guess the Aspire One has long since gone. Any ideas would be most welcome.
