Temporary Profile + Blank Screen

So, I recently decided to replace my 1gb SATA with an equivalent 2gb HDD. I planned to use Norton Ghost to transfer the content of hard disk one to hard disk two. All right, so far, so good. The transfer seemed to complete successfully. I named my new hard drive B: and it worked fine alongside hard disk one, called obviously C:. Then I decided to replace hard disk one with hard disk two and boot windows from it, since it could boot fine from B when they were together.

Then my problems began with only B in the PC. Both loading normally and in safe mode yields the same result, a blank screen and a cursor after a long time loading a temporary profile, the only difference is that safe mode has a black screen instead of a blue. I tried these following options to no avail: Startup repair, startup repair via windows 7 disc, disk check, system restore (no restore points and failed to load) and lastly Avast virus scan.

I managed to get a sort of desktop by starting explorer via the task manager, but some options just don't work. One is, creating s new profile or anything to do with profiles. Clicking on these does nothing.

However, most of my files and whatnot have been preserved. How do I get my profile back and windows operating normally once again?
