Folders there, but I can not see it in the directory. PureSync Transfer Issue.

Hello.

Ok I will keep this as simple as posible.

I was trying to Snyc files between my Windows 7 Home Edition Laptop and my External Enclosure SATA 1TB HD. The program I was using is PureSync http://download.cnet.com/PureSync/30...-75173213.html. I have not had any real issues with it. I started using it when I first used Windows 7 and had an issue with the transfer directory length limitations.

So I abruptly stopped the sync. I have done that before with no issues. I go to add something the same directly and the files do not appear. This made no sense. So before I went to work, I had the program perform its' function. As I sit and type this out, I found the primary directory I was transferring, updating, synchronize while at work was there on the drive. Also there are files on the External HD that should have been deleted, but were not. They were added to the Laptop (source) drive. I notice the "files that should have been deleted" on the External Drive, before but never paid any attention to it. For when I looked at the External directly in the past I did not see it. I guess I should have.

I understand to a limited extent that PureSync is tricking windows to get around the 'directory transfer' limitations.

I am missing something on all counts.

First thing is first. How do I get windows to see the files on my laptop (source drive/directory) without me searching for the files?

Second, how do I remove the hidden folder apparently, from the External HD. Yes, I did periodically erase the file. Something is up, but I do not know what?

Thank you.

I will be conducting an emergency backup of the source file. Just in case I have to wipe anything. I have to do a folder-by-folder comparison.

I would find a application that does this, but I have not be able to.
Any suggestions on that?
