I just upgraded my HP laptop from XP to Windows 7 32-bit. Went fine, however, when booting up, and you get to the black and white DOS Screen, it gives you three options.
. Earlier Version of Windows
. Windows 7
. Microsoft Windows Recovery Console
If you select the first one or the third one I get the BSOD. So they aren't really there but how to get it out of showing up at the beginning has me stumped.
I did some research on getting rid of the Recovery Console, which involves deleting a folder and a file, but when I attempt to do that, it wants me to sign on as Administrator. There is only one account that I designated when setting up Win 7 and it has Admin Rights, but it still will not let me take this action. There is no other user account set up. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Stormy
