Hi Guys,
My laptop keeps disabling the audio service at random times, for the last few weeks.
It doesn't stay enabled for very long. There doesn't seem to be a pattern when it works or doesn't work.
I've tried so far:
audio service is set to automatic
uninstalled Realtek drivers/restart/reinstall drivers
update drivers - all drivers current
updated windows
disabled all startup items msconfig
ran directx sound tests >allok
updated plugins on firefox
ran cc cleaner
ran anti-virus, malwarebytes
check drivers for errors - no errors
checked sound options - allok
I've also tried everything in this thread, however I don't get any errors, it simply stops working. When I enable it, it works once again.
Inexplicably, the issue has started on my other laptop as well.
Anyone want to have a crack at it? Re-installing windows isn't an option, this is a refurbished computer I got from my old work and kept when I left. No cds for anything.
