So I have a SSD 128GB with Windows 7 installed on it and a WD HDD 1TB to store mostly everything else. I put my rig together not to long ago and have been looking into this conflict with my two drives here and there for the last while. Each drive is set as its own individual partition and both show as primary in disk management; Windows backup will not let me create a System Image from my SSD to my HDD because it recognizes it as a bootable partition. Is this because the WD HDD is showing as primary? Also I have noticed I am given the option to set either of the drives(partitions) to active? Would setting the SSD to active have any affect to this issue?
