USB Audio Codec issue with Allen & Heath ZED 10-fx mixer

Hi Tech Support guys
I am running an Allen and Heath Zed 10-fx mixer on a my Samsung windows 7 laptop. Lately, the sound cuts out after about 60 minutes or so and I cannot get it to start again unless I reboot my laptop or simply plug out and plug back in again the USB cable going to the mixer. When the sound is not working, I can click on an audio file and it will open iTunes or whatever media player it is associated with, the title of the song will appear in the media player but playback will not start and there is no sound coming from my speakers. I've tried a lot of things to try and correct this to no avail, i.e. changing the USB cable and the port it goes into on my laptop, had a look in the control panel, the audio driver is apparently a USB Audio Codec which is selected and everything seems to be OK but the problem still persists. Any ideas out there guys? Thanks in advance, cheers.
