Motherboard: Acer, Aspire 7740

As stated "word" is no longer an option under rightclickmenu/new. I have read a lot of other tips on techguy (mostly a couple years old) and nothing has helped. I followed instructions to add it to registry; that didn't work although I was able to successfully delete powerpoint from that list.
I downloaded several programs including shell extender and that didn't work. I also repaired Microsoft Office 2013 and when that didn't help I uninstalled it and then reinstalled it from Microsoft website. I do not have a cd as I bought into the 99$ per year version.
I would greatly appreciate some help. TY
