The compnay I work for has a value set in the ini file to boot up with an ID and Password. This W7 box was just recently installed I was not informed or failed to check to make sure the password never expires on the needed user. The PC was rebooted this AM now it is on the screen to change the password. If we put a new value in we do not have access to change.
I need a method to change to administrator which then I can back date today date on the PC then check password never expires for the user.
On a XP PC when it is loading our application, I can press Ctrl, Alt Delete and that will produce the login screen where I can delete the user type in administrator.
I have also tried Ctrl Shift Esc and Ctrl Shift and Delete. Searching the Web the Shift key was disabled starting with Vista.
I do have a Knoppix CD, will that boot up W7 so I can edit the .ini file?
Thanks
