I have a Toshiba satelite C650 and after 3 yrs. & a warranty no longer in effect, my hard drive went out. A friend replaced the old hard drive for me with a new & better one & since I didn't have a copy of Windows 7 (didn't get one when I purchased my laptop) he installed his copy of Windows Professional, not realizing that he should not do so. At any rate, after having my computer back for about a month & enjoying it, I get a notice that I have an invalid copy of Windows. I contacted Toshiba & they assured me all I had to do was buy the Recovery Media and it would reinstall the Windows Home version over the Professional. I did that & received it today.The installation instruction is to power up the computer while holding down the "c" key & release it when the screen reads "Toshiba".....but it doesn't do that & I don't know what to do at this point. Can someone PLEASE help me?
