Hello
I run Windows 7, 64, which until the last windows update, also ran ie 9. Don't know why I never got an update to ie 10. But, after the auto update to ie 11, I could not longer download files, could not update itunes, could not get to Square's dashboard......just keep getting the spinning icon with nothing but a white page. I also saw strange changes to my yahoo paid email account, like not having boxes, faded script.
I cleared my cache as suggested by Square, but no luck. I tried to update itunes within itunes, and the update link disappeared quickly with no action. I tried to download directly from itunes, and it gave me an error message that it could not access the server.
I called Geek Squad, who could not download their remote control software. Even from safe mode. So, had to go to Best buy. They replicated the same problems. Thought it was a bad install of ie 11, but after removing and reinstalling they had same problem. We removed update, and it reverted to ie 9. Which all my errors, disappeared and it works great.
I tried to install ie 10 and had the exact same problems I had experienced with ie 11. I hate being 2 updates back. Google doesn't like 9, so I may have to switch to Chrome.
Any suggestions as to whether I can use 10 or 11 and what is happening that keeps it from working correctly to download.
thanks
