Link in Startup folder but wont start on boot

Hi Guys,

Still sorting out my windows 7 machines, there is an program that has to be automatically started when the PC boots, I dropped a link to it in the startup folder feeling confident that I had at least sorted this one out :)

Reboot ... err ... the program did not start !,

Now I noticed when I manually start the program UAC pops up so unsure if this is stopping an automated startup ?, unfortunately not on site now but trying to get info so I can fix it when I return.

Any advice gratefully appreciated.
