Backup question

I wanted to see if there is any software or if Windows 7 has something built in for something I want to do to backup files from one harddrive to another. Is there something that would allow me to copy new files (or updated files) from one folder on one harddrive to another folder on a second harddrive if it notices the first folder has been updated. Example, first path might be D:\Pictures and the second path would be E:\Pictures. If the D:\Pictures receives new pictures, then Windows will automatically update E:\Pictures.

I have seen this done with software that comes with external harddrives (Western Digital I believe is the brand I saw this with) but I already have some internal harddrives I would like to use in the same manner. Any ideas is greatly appreciated.
