Hey all,
I bought a refurbished HP envy dv6t-7300 laptop (15.6 inch/i7 3630qm/8gb ram/gt 650m 2gb vram/supposedly 1080p full HD display) that came with Windows 8. Without too much planning I decided to competely remove Win8 and install Win7 instead via full hard drive wipe. It was only afterwards that I realized I should have backed up my drivers...
Long story short, I managed to get the realtek ethernet driver reinstalled so I connected an ethernet cable to get internet and let the computer find the rest of the drivers. It partially worked. All the drivers installed except for 1) PCI Device 2) Universal Serial Bus Controller 3) Unknown device (this is probably the finger print scanner)
So my first question is how do I go about getting those installed?
My second question is...even after updating my GT 650M video card drivers I still don't have the option for 1920x1080 resolution. The highest resolution I can choose is still 1366x768. So was that false advertising on the seller's part? Or am I just missing something...
If anyone can shed some light on this that would be great! Thanks in advance =)
