Solved: HP Restore or Clean Install

Hello.

I am fixing my brothers HP Pavilion Laptop. I need to re-install the OS, I cannot do a standard 'recovery' of the OS as I don't have the recovery CD's.

I have a standard windows 7 installation disk available but if I restore via that, it will remove the standard HP OS Recovery options for future use. Is this a big deal? I don't see that it would be really, I just need the computer back to a usable state, but thought i'd get peoples opinions on trying to get some recovery cd's or just go ahead with regular windows 7 cd reinstall.
