Ok so I have a Compaq Presario CQ43 running windows 7 at the moment. The problem is that I had windows 8 installed on it and I had the problem of it freezing and unfreezing. I'd log in then for about 5 min it would be fine then it would start to freeze, it then would unfreeze and I could be able to click something, as soon as I clicked something to open it or start typing it would freeze again but I could move my mouse around and click on the taskbar but then that would freeze as well. So after a while of me turning it off and restarting it manually it would do it on the windows start screen where it would just freeze and not continue. the first time after restarting it when this occured it came up with the compaq repair screen with system restore. So I did it and now my laptop is back to windows 7 home premium. It now still has the same problem even worse as it only freezez and unfreezes once before it stays frozen and I have to restart.....
