I am Running Windows 7 64 Bit and the last couple of nights and this morning I have been using my laptop to have it suddenly start to flicker on the screen and then lock up the lower two thirds. It seems to be refreshing but locks on whatever page I was on and the mouse is obvious in the bottom part but frozen, whereas the mouse can still be used in the top section, but cannot go below the 2/3rds mark to access anything in the bottom part of the screen. Restarting or Running in Safe Mode or Restoring to an Earlier Date when all was running well has not fixed the problem.
Everything is working perfectly behind the frozen part of the screen as evident from the top 1/3rd and when I plugged an external monitor into the laptop I could also view the entire screen, although still unable to at the same time on the laptop.
Any ideas? The laptop has not been dropped, shaken or otherwise. The problem is intermittent and can fix itself sometimes, or not other times. Its actually working perfectly fine right now but would like to resolve the issue. Any help would be much appreciated. Its approx. 1.5 years old from new.
