A Toshiba laptop running windows 7 is not recognising when I put a disk with a program in it.
For example, when I insert an original windows 7 disk, the autoplay box pops up but only with the option to download photos, not to run the exe on the disk.
I thought it might have been a dvd or photo application that was installed but there doesn't seem to be anything like that installed.
Someone suggested going into the registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\IniFileMapping\ and deleting Autorun.inf or modifying the value. When I do this it does fix the problem, but when I reboot, the original value has been restored and the problem is back.
Any help with this is appreciated.
