Strange Exploer problem

Tech Support Guy System Info Utility version 1.0.0.2
OS Version: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium, Service Pack 1, 64 bit
Antivirus: Norton 360, Updated and Enabled

I started windows explorer 9 and received the message " Internet explorer has stopped working - windows is trying to find a solution and close the program "

Also running live update ( Norton 360 ) produced the message " Symantic services framework has stopped working - Windows is tring to find a solution and close the program.

The internet connection (ethernet ) was ok .

I used System restore to go back to an earlier time.

On logging on Internet explorer and live update worked just fine until the next morning when the same problems reoccured.

Every day I have to run system Restore in order to use the Internet and Norton 360.

Any suggestions please on the cause and the solution of this problem ?
