Quick story of the issue:
I've had my computer for about a year and it has always done this thing where the monitor will go black and the computer will fall asleep. All I have to do is press a button on my keyboard and it wakes back up, but this tends to happen at extremely inconvenient times (I'd either be taking a test or playing a game the majority of the time when it happens, of course it can happen randomly just while talking on mumble with nothing else open). It's a small issue, honestly though after a year, I'm sick of it, I want it fixed. I've previously attempted to fix this by going through power settings, tinkering with things myself and asking my tech savvy Canadian buddy, even with his advice and my exploration, I haven't gotten anywhere. While exploring, I haven't done anything that would make the problem worsen, just mess with settings to see if it would help, then revert them if they didn't, so this problem hasn't been worsened, just still occurs.
Help, computer gods. Also, I'm going to need a full day to respond to each suggestion because it happens hours after I turn my computer on so I'll check in at the end of each day. I appreciate all help and thank everyone for their time.
