Hi everyone,
I'm using a Toshiba A665 laptop and in the last week Windows 7 fails to start up. I have reviewed my Events log and notice "system rebooted without cleanly shutting down" as a clue and there are lots of other repeated errors related to this. I was in the process of recieving automatic updates and they failed to correctly install.
Now when turning on I am prompted to put in recovery disk and repair. I put the disk in and Windows starts up as normal but how do I get the repair menu? Rather than me playing hit or miss can someone tell me the correct process? How could I correctly diagnose the issue?
I made my own disks which are as follows:
Repair Disk Windows 7 64-bit
Windows Recovery Environment 64 bit
Recovery DVD 1 of 2
Recovery DVD 2 of 2
My sincere thanks to anyone who can give me any tips no matter how small.
Regards,
Michael
