I use a Toshiba A665 Satellite laptop. Yesterday my Windows 7 failed to boot up. Start Up Repair tool option was displayed and I clicked on System Restore. After ages of waiting it eventually started up. Today, also Windows failed to start up and after prompting from the message I managed to restart from my systems disk #1.
What can I do to investigate and repair the Start up system? Norton Scans do not reveal any virus and otherwise the system seems on the surface to be performing as normal.
Is it likely that I have to continue rebooting from disk or would a disk reboot stabilise the system? If so how would I proceed? At what point should I go to the manufacturer.
I made the following disks myself using Windows 7 2 years ago:
Recovery disks DVD #1 and #2
Windows Recovery Environment (64 bit)
Repair Disk Windows 7 64 bit
Applications disk
