Reboot & Select Proper Boot Device

Hi Guys,

After a very frustrating online poker session I decided to give my laptop and hit which caused a blue crash dump screen to appear.

Now every time I switch on my laptop the following message appears:

Reboot & select proper boot device
or insert boot media in selected book device and press any key

Does anyone have any ideas how a not-too-tech-savvy guy might fix this or is my only option to take it to a repair shop? If so, does anyone have any ideas on how much it should cost to fix?
