Sleep Issues

1) Whenever my computer goes to sleep, the display turns off but the computer stays on (I can hear it running). The power lights and the num lock light stay on. It becomes totally unresponsive, and I just have to sever the power supply each time. This happens when I manually put the computer to sleep as well as when it automatically goes to sleep based on the timer.
2) This might be related, but I've gone to advanced power settings and set my computer to automatically hibernate after a certain amount of time. However, once the time limit has been met, my computer stays on instead of hibernating.
3) I doubt this is related to the other two, but occasionally I can't see images on certain webpages. I'm not sure if this is simply an error from the webpage host or if there's something I need to fix on my computer.
I've tried loading the pages in different browsers, but I still can't see the images. Here's an example of a webpage where I encounter the problem: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/4...-google-chrome

Thanks

-Eric
