Ran the Upgrade Adviser which said my old XP Home Dell Inspiron 1501 Laptop was compatible, so I did the deed and am VERY pleased with the result. After I got it up and running, I went through the laborious installation of Windows Updates. I didn't actually count them, but there was well over 100.
My question regards 41 "Optional" updates all labeled "Update for Windows 7". What is the collective wisdom regarding installing such updates. I'm not inclined to go into the MS Knowledge Base and analyse them all (or any, for that matter), so it occurred to me some experience sole here on TSG might have some wisdom to share.
'Preciate any and all thoughts/suggestions.
