It looks like my Acronis 10 does not accept to backup Windows 7.
This is a refurbished Dell, formerly Vista must have been on it, got disks but there is no restore on the disks. (I needed a phone plug and this computer was the only one where I could use dial-up but company canceled dialup and now have a router with only 2 GB monthly )
I have downloaded several backup programs recommendedv here on TSG but all of them are very confusing. I want to backup without compression or imaging or the program NOT formatting my external drive, just like Acronis backed up to a *.tib file. I don't want to update anything incase an update goes wrong. (I do update Kaspersky, MBAM and Superantispyware).
Does anyone know if Acronis has a version even if I have to buy it, that backs up Windows 7 Home edition? Or a free program that does not expire incase I have to use it at a later date?
I would appreciate any help or direction given.
