While windows was in the middle of a routine install updates my laptop just turned off and now won't turn on. there is no sign of power at all. So tried all the normal things: new power pack, plugged in at the wall, took the battery out etc. But still no life at all. I'm assuming something went wrong with the install patch, but I had no idea it would kill my machine. all the software things to fix a botched install is impossible if the laptop won't even turn on.
