Strange Windows 7 freeze

Hello good people of the internet,

I would like to start by saying that this is more a kind of a story and a share of experience than a real cry for help. If you are in the mood for some reading material then please go on ahead, otherwise rest assured, I will not miss any sleep if this is left unanswered.

Here we go:

This evening the oddest thing that I have ever experienced with Windows 7 has happened to me. My computer started booting just as normal, perhaps taking a bit more time than usual. My mouse software (Logitech Gaming Software) wasn't starting which isn't that strange to me as it happens once every 1000th boots or so. All went well until I tried interacting with the Windows 7 Start button to enable my mouse software.

At the moment I opened the Start window my computer suddenly stops responding, expect for the mouse movement. Keyboard is completely unresponsive and so were all buttons on my mouse. The only thing I could do was move the mouse cursor which would then stutter (lag) across my screen. Now here comes the really strange part, at least for me, my computer speakers (not my motherboard one) would produce a kind of beeping sound whenever I moved my mouse. A short beep for every mouse stroke. Making multiple short beeping noises if I kept moving my mouse cursor around the screen.

After I forced rebooted my computer by holding the power button, Windows acknowledged that it didn't stop correctly but further there was no sign of the whole event. My computer is currently working as normal.

Now I know my computer isn't 100%. My computer mouse (MX518) is older than 4 years and most hardware inside my computer ain't that new either. Windows will blue screen on me occasionally and probably needs a fresh install.

I have searched on the internet and this forum for what I have experienced but I have been unable to find anything so far.

So here is my question:

Have you ever experienced anything like what I described above or do you think to know what has happened during that one strange Windows 7 freeze. Maybe you are better with search engines than me and you have found something.

Please do share and enlighten me!

Thank you very much for reading, below you will find some system specs I made with the handy TSG SysInfo tool.
